The RB Cup was organized last week in Portugal,
on the Santa Cruz track near Lisbon. It was
a fun race, well organized by the RB company
with the help of the RB local distributor. Rody
ROEM, Anthony Abisset and David Vigara from
RB came from France for this event ! |

La RBCUP a été organisée
a la fin du mois d'Aout au Portugal, sur la
piste de Torres Vedras à quelques kilomètres
de Lisbonne. La RB CUP, c'est une course amicale
organisée par RB et Modelcar, le distributeur
des produits RB pour le Portugal et l'Espagne.
Rody ROEM, Anthony Abisset et David Vigara de
RB ont fait le déplacement pour cet évènement

|
The Torres Vedras Track is very special and difficult ! One fantastic particularity : the very spectacular wall curb. The local club members with Jorge the club president were very professionnal and share the same passion, that's one of the reason that made the superb atmosfear during the weekend with a lot of competition and friendship between the racers ! |

There were some
other famous drivers of the RB TEAM , like Linus
Thern (from Sweden), Graham Alsop (from GB),
and Jérome Sartel and Guillaume Vray (from France).
It gave them the possibility to discuss things
with some local drivers and bring their experience
about car and engine setup. ... It also was
the occasion of gathering everyone before the
off road World championship in Charlotte (USA) |

Egalement présents
sur cet évènement, des pilotes du TEAM RB ont
aussi fait le déplacement, comme Linus Thern
(Suède), Graham Alsop (Grande Bretagne), ainsi
que Jérome Sartel et Guillaume Vray (France).
Ce fût l'occasion pour tous les pilotes de parler
réglages moteurs, expériences de courses...
C'était également l'occasion de réunir ces pilotes
avant les très prochains championnats du monde

On Friday was free practice for everyone. Portuguese and Spanish drivers could benefit of the technical support provided by the RB team, the RB top pilots and even by rody himself ! |

On Saturday
there were 4 qualifying rounds. Jerome made
the fastest time in the first 2 rounds and Linus
won the last ones. Finally, Jerome got first
place. |

4 série s de qualifications. Jérome remporte
les deux prem i ère s manches et Linus les deux
suivantes. C'est finalement Jerome qui remporte
la Pôle. |

After the qualif
ications , the RB team ha d prepared two surprises
for the drivers :
The TEAM RACE, 4 persons sharing
the same car and radio, 2 drivers and 2 pit
men who change d place s every 5 minutes. Great
moment when Rody (on road driver) or Hakan Thern
:) (the father of Linus) or David Duggan (from
CML) take the transmitter ;) |

Aprés
les qualifs, le team RB avait préparé
deux suprises aux participants :
La TEAM RACE, 4 personnes utilisant
le même buggy et radio, 2 pilotes and
2 mécanos qui échangent de place
toutes les 5 minutes. De grands moments quand
quand Rody (un pilote piste) ou Hakan Thern
(le père et mécanicien de Linus)
ou encore David Duggan (de CML) se sont retrouvés
derrière la radio ! |

And the second
surprise : the PIT MAN RACE,
the mecanics race, you had to mount wheels and
fill the fuel tank as fast as you could. Jerôme
won the race... again :) |

vous devez monter les roues et faire le plein
le plus vite possible. Et c'est de nouveau Jerôme
qui a remporté cette course... encore:)

At the end of the day, a lot of racers met at the orange night, a party organised by RB and were served a delicious barbecue. |

barbecue ! |

On Sunday, Guillaume
got the fastest time of the semi but he had
to leave before the main to take his flight.
In the main, the battle was close between Jerome
and Linus during the first 20 minutes. Linus
had to stop his race because of a receiver problem,
though. Jerome finally won the race 2 laps ahead
of Miguel Lopes. |

Dimanche, Guillaume
claque le meilleur temps dans la demi finale,
mais il ne peut participer à la finale
PRO à cause de son vol de retour. Dans
la finale, la bataille entre Jérôme
et Linus dure 20 minutes. Linus doit finalement
abandonner la course pour cause de problème
de récepteur. Jérôme avec
son RB CONCEPT WS7 remporte la course avec 2
tours d'avance sur Miguel Lopes. |

On Sunday evening, everyone striked the pose like a big family. A delightful moment for the RB team who works hard on this project of the first RB Cup. We really appreciate to see so many racers wearing the RB cup T-shirt and a big smile. |

En fin de journée,
tout le monde s'est réuni pour la remise des
prix et la photo de famille ! Un moment que
toute l'équipe RB , qui a travaillé sur le projet
de la toute première RB CUP, a tout particulièrement
apprécié. Quel plaisir de voir tous les pilotes
porter le T-shirt RB CUP avec un très large
sourire ! |

At the end, it was a wonderful weekend : nice weather, excellent organization of Modelcar and the Torres Vedras Club. We hope that all racers taking part to the event had as much fun as we did ! ! |

Au final, ce fût un superbe weekend, un
temps magnifique, une organisation excellente
de Modelcar et du Club de Torres Vedras et des
pilotes qui nous l'espérons ont eu autant
de plaisir à participer à cet
évènement que nous à le
préparer et réaliser ! |
