The Beaumont Monteux Track !

INTRO :

This time the first EFRA GP for 2006 was organized by the BMVRC a club with a lot of enthousiasts to support the venue of the 32 racers who came from all over Europe. This race was also a good opportunity for us to make some tests with some new engines and solutions worked on during the winter period.

QUALIFICATION :

The qualifications started with the track still humid but during the day the track dried and the laptimes dropped more and more, the overal results changed every heat untill the last qualifier. The RB Concept engines have again proven to be reliable and economical with their fuel-consumption and overall power. This was also an occasion for us to test the new RB Speedline engines wich gave entire satisfaction to the drivers who were using this engine.

Stefan HANAUER from Germany managed an excellent 3rd time in qualification with his new RB Speedline XENON R!
THE RACE :
In one of the Semi Finals we found our 2 French RB Concept team-drivers together. Unfortunately for both of them they did not manage to bump-up to the final due to some technical problems arrised during the race.

So for the coming final we find ourselves with Stefan HANAUER from Germany defending our colors, driving a Kyosho powered by our new RB Speedline Xenon R engine. The start of the final was quite hectic and Stefan found himself in the middle of the field after a not so good start, the strategy was however to stay out of trouble first. At the 15 minute mark Stefan found himself in 3rd position taking advantage to Michal Salven at that moment in 2nd position. Just before the 20 minute mark Stefan overtook Michael and so found himself in 2nd position just before his planned tire change. The tire-change went without any problems and when the others also had changed their tires, Stefan found himself at the first position which he never left and so won this EFRA GP with flair.

Preparing the cars for the coming finals.
CONCLUSION :

A very good start for the RB Speedline Xenon R engine at this race, reliable, fast and powerfull. Congratulations to Stefan Hanauer, he had a great drive and controlled this race from start to finish.
