European Championship 1999 in Turkheim(D) 1/10 Circuit

Track conditions:	Slippery, but tracktion rolling
Türkheim track is in Bavaria, near Munich. This track is easy to learn, the major difficulty is to have grip: the asphalt is polish and covered by oil. All the drivers arrived Thursday but unfortunately, they could not drive because it was raining all the day, also the rest of the free-practice was interupted many times by the changing weather.
Qualifying This slippery track which caused a lot of traction rolling has disturbed many drivers. It was impossible to start a run with new tires: it was necessary to run in the tires during 10mn on the track to get a good grip and conical tires. Friday evening, all the drivers started looking for indoor tires like Ellegi EV70 or Micro Systems Silver since they produced the best grip at the rear. After 4 round, Julius Kolff and Milko Tenthof took frist and second place before Pietsch (Germany).
Finals : The RB Concept Worlds 98 enngines used by the drivers were very fast and it was a help for them to get them climbing up into the finals, unfortunately the engine could not stop the car from rolling over. Jérôme Krowisky(Impact M2/RB "Worlds 98"/Concept Fuel) climbed into the ½ finals and joined Per Hola Hard(Impact M2/RB "Worlds 98"/Concept Fuel) unfortunately some driving errors stopped them from climbing up into the main final. Coming from the ¼ final, Bernard Guidonnet(Impact M2/RB "Worlds 98"/Concept Fuel), the 3rd driver using RB, managed to get easily into the final but also he like many other pilots was victime of many tracktion rolls once the final has started.
