    QUALIFYING

Today it was 5 rounds of qualification on a big claytrack with different jumpcombinations on a slippery surface because of a dusty track. You can see that alot of the racers use the RB Engines. The favourite along the beginners is the WS7III with a smooth feeling but still powerful. The more experienced drivers like the C6BB because of the enormous power and fuelconsumption.
Due to some technical problems during the day there was only four rounds of qualification on saturday, leaving one round on sunday morning. It was so windy that at one time you could hear the speaker yelling: 'careful there is a tent on the main' and there was drivers using mx-googles even in the pitarea. After five rounds it was the fast homedriver Andreas Edvinsson that was TQ after winning three rounds ahead of RB driver Linus Thern in Second.

    THE RACE

It started out good with nice weather and the lower finals on their way. The 1/8 buggy class in sweden is getting really competative with many good drivers in the lower finals and many of them are still very young. But as the semifinals started the sky started to look dark and when it was five minutes to go in semi A it started to rain. Then it started to rain even more and soon the track was flooded and impossible to drive, so we waited until it stopped. Then the track crew made a perfect job vacuming away the water and putting sawdust on, and soon the race was on the way. It was still very muddy so a couple of drivers decided not to race including the swedish Champion Linus Thern. But there was other RB drivers to defend the honor in the final. Young fast RB driver Christoffer Svensson took the lead in the very first corner and never looked back, and finished first with his C6BB a lap ahead of Andreas Edvinsson and two more infront of Mikael Palsson. Another great performance of the RB engines with 4 out 10 in the final using the power of champions.
