The day started of with the track being very slippery with little traction, the tyre that was most popular was the 'angle spike', this is a high spiked tyre which helps to part the water for ultimate traction. The whole track is astro, this calls for a harder setup all round the car in the dry. |

TQ was decided on your best single run out of four. Round 1 was very interesting with the car being sidways more than straight, at the same time it was a joy to drive with huge power slides. I managed to TQ round 1 by 10 secs, Round to saw the track get quicker and dryer, Round 2 & 3 went to Kevin Brunsden as we was trying to adjust to the Over drive in the car. Round 4 gave ultimate grip with the fastest times being laid down, Kevin put in a quick time, just two seconds off 9 laps, my last round had to count and i knew i needed 9 laps, we changed the setup to the car which was from the first national of the year which was astro, the track was now very edgy in some places and wet in others, i knew no mistakes were in order. The car felt the best it had all day and the B.9 gave awesome power over the jumps and down the straight. At the end of the run i knew it was fast, it was 9 laps, this gave the overall TQ to me. |

The A final got of to a rocky start with the first lap being very busy, i managed to make a little mistake which put me off line allowing two cars to get past, half way round the first lap i was tagged by someone behind, this dropped back even further. Now i was at the back of the pack i knew i needed to get a hurry on as Kevin had over half a lap on me already, I was making my way through the pack quite quick and i could see i was catching Kevin. Kevin made a couple of mistakes which allowed me to push up on Kevin even more, i sat on Kevins bumper for a couple of laps but Kevin caught the corner and got stuck. I took the lead and from then on didn't loose it. I was doing 10 min fuel stops with the B.9, the engine was running perfect. I managed to bring home the win with Kevin in 2nd and Brennan 3rd. |
