    INTRODUCTION

Madrid is one of the warmest area in Europe in August, but any of the 140 drivers are ready to fight in this city for the 07 european Championship. Of course RB is making track side support for the RB Concept R3 and RB SpeedLine Matrix RW. This first round of controlled practice were very slippery but the round of Tuesday were much better, with grip on the black line. Unfortunatly this line is narrow and making consistant fast lap time is hard to achieve.
THURSDAY :
Thursday was the last day for practice with the latest 10 minutes round and two 5 minutes time controlled practice. During the latest round, we had 16 drivers braking the 18 laps. Local heroes Oscar Cabezas was the fastest chased by a couple of World Champion Adrien Bertin and Teemu Leino. In the RB Team, Roland Strom, Nicoals Bougnoteau and Arnaud Chaussard had some very fast laps, but they didn't make a consistant run.
Lateron we had the opening ceremony and a friendly drink offered by the organizer. Tomorow the race start with the first round of qualification.

    QUALIFYING

The qualifications round are now over and Teemu Leino TQ with an almost 2 seconds gap in the latest heat. The local driver Oscar Cabezas is second and Jilles Groskamp didn't miss the latest round to be in the top four. The current European Champion B Alessio Mazzeo is the latest qualified in the top for. In the RB Team, Manuel Singer is the fastest with his NT1/RB Concept R3 combination reaching an easy 18 laps in the latest round. Any morning rounds were faster and most of the performances were done on the latest heat. There's some big name in the semi and tomorow we will have terrific subfinals !

    THE RACE

This Sunday was again very sunny, with a cooler temperature due to a light wind. Some drivers as Alexander Anderson bump up several times. Alex came from the 1/32 to the 1/4. He had bad start in the 1/4 and was not able to reduce the gap to bump up an other time. Arnaud Chaussard bump up several time also from the 1/8 to the semi, but had some troubles and couldn't bump up in the main.
In the Semi, Dario Balestri was really impressive, coming from the 1/4 to the A main without pushing.
In the A main, after few minutes, Adrien Bertin lost a part of his chance by having an other driving crashing his back. 5 drivers were fighting in front, but after a quarter, Allessio Mazzeo and Dario Balestri were leading with a comfortable gap. Dario overtook Alessio and takes a comfortable advance. At the end, Jilles Groskamp put some pressure on the young Italian driver and overtook him. In the last lap, Teem Leino chased Alessio, and tried to overtake him in the latest lap, but the young Italian didn't make any mistake and save it third position.

    CONCLUSION

The level of this race was incredible : a lot of big names at least didn't reach the A-main and the gap between the drivers is very small. We were pleased about the perfomances of our RB team and the New RB Concept R3 reach the highest level. Dario was incredibly fast on Sunday and he won his second European title after his winning last year in Holland.
