For the 5th time, the RB Distributor Modelcar organises the GS cup which is the biggest international event in Portugal.
As the 3 latest editions, the race has been organised on the Torres Verdes race track. This track is specially loved by racers as the pit is separated from the track by a big window: maintenance and tuning could be done with the stress of the loud racing noise. Thanks to the location, which is very closed to Santa Cruz, most of the racers come with their family to share the time between racing and enjoying beach. |

This year, a lot of Spanish drivers came with the Modelcar Team leader Richy Gomez, and the local racers have the opportunity to race against Austrian, Taiwanese and French drivers.
As far as the racing enjoyment is concern, this spot is for sure the world best location for an international event!!!!
We have a lot of RB fan in Portugal and Spain and 82 drivers of the 102 drivers were using the Power of the RB Champions. Most of the C6 addicted shift to the 7T issue and loved the drivability of this new C6, but Portugal is the WS7 country and this engine drives happy more than 50 % of the local drivers. They love how easy to tune this engine is. RB was making track side support helping drivers to enjoy the RB Power!
Fast and consistent, Richy Gomez took the lead of the qualification. Richy took the opportunity of this race to prove his material for the European Championship. Any drivers attending to this race notice how ready Richy is for this European Championship. The fighting between the local president Jorge Gomez, the well know Carlos Cardoso and the very young Miguel Lopez was amazing and these guys gave hard time to the Experimented Scott Young from Taiwan.

There’s several class including Pro Buggy, Pro Truggy and RTR: the sub final and mains start early in the afternoon and any of the drivers could race at least 1 hour! Richi Gomez won both the Pro Class but the young Miguel Lopez proved his speed and constancy by reaching the second place in Buggy and Truggy. |

After 2 days of racing all the happy face attend to the Price ceremony with a lot of trophy and GS awards! Sea Smile and Sun to enjoy RC, this is the base line of the GS cup in Portugal! |
