OK first let me start by saying hello! Now lets get to it... I have a new PE Revo that im upgrading with the 523. I am a racer and doing well. Would like real help not opinions. If your not a racer Not to dump on a basher but i really need REAL help. So lets talk about what i would like help with: 1. what gearing to use on a technical track with a lot of turns, that would require me to be as fast as i can in these areas. 2. what shocks and oil for this same track with is 100% clay and bumpy with lots of dust. 3. what clutch system & springs for the best bite im hearing that for the revo M2C is a good system And again i can stress how your help will guide me to better racing. so please keep it short and sweet. I have been reading in this forum for three days and only get more confused by all the opinions. lets stick to the facts and just maybe we can get a straight to the point reply that will help me. RODY feel from and jump in if you can!

The questions you are asking can be answered in sevaral ways and impossible to give you the perfect answer on all.
If you are a racer and want to race with the REVO then I suggest you first remove the EZstart system and change the backplate and bumpstart the engine, this already will save a lot of weight. I would start off with the original gear-ratio and go from there, if the engine does not seem to use its whole gear-ratio on the track then go to a shorter gear-ratio. As for the clutch, each time you accelerate then you must have the impression your engine has good power and goes forward very well, if the clutch comes in too early the engine has to work too much and acceleration will be too slow.
Many of your other questions are related to the car and you need to ask these in the Traxxas forums, I guess you will have more chance there.
I realize this is kinda late in responce however here is a "good start".
1. On a tight technical track with the longest straight under 100ft, it would be most practical to go with a 14 tooth CB and std. gear ratio. Provides tons of "bottom end" and acceptable "top end run out". With straights over 100ft, stay stock with CB 15 tooth.
2. 40Wt Associated front and rear with one sring rate higher than stock at both ends.
3. M2C for sure, hard shoes and red springs. Provides a Great snap.
4. Go to 500,000 fluid weight in the Center Diff, this is the only way to ensure no "diff out" problems occur.
5. DO ALL STEERING MODS! Trim trim trim to allow the most throw as possible. Single servo no less than 280 OZ at .15sec for 60degree travel. Trust me, this is the only way to go. Optional heavy duty servo saver spring as well.
6. If its all clay will little dust, HOLESHOTS, they are the only way to fly!
7. 30% nitro with medium plug (heat range).
8. Depending on your elevation, if over 500ft above sea level, stick to stock head shim, if lower add one more!
9. Tune, tune, tune.
Also, like Rody says, check out the Traxxas Revo Forum and S-Grid. Many valuable tips and tricks there!
