Hi all. I'm still building my revo and have never installed my 523TM yet. I was wondering how bad could that left turn lean be? The new revo has a larger fuel tank and that my take care of the problem. But I have had issues with a few of my trucks and have also noticed a lean left turn issue. The Revo with the stock motor and my ols HPI savage. It was nothing to worry about. I mean I did notice the difference but it was nothing crazy. Is it that bad guys? I don't know because I never bolted up my 523 yet.

I just installed the 523 in my Maxx and there is no left turn issues. Just make sure the fuel delivery line and pressure line are adequate and there is no leaks.

So gtofan... When you say make sure the fuel delivery line and pressure line are adequate do you mean long enough?

Yes, and without alot of large loops. I don't think the loops play a major role but I like to keep everything somewhat level, large I mean in vertical height.

Maybe fuel gets pulled from the carb under cornering forces, maybe not. This left turn condition honestly has me puzzled since I have never had any other motor do this and I would hesitate to think that the RB design is flawed.

One possibility is the motor isn't getting up to temp enough and the fuel isn't atomizing as much as it should...whatever temp that is but I know it's in the neighborhood of 200+ deg.

These motors have so much power, you can run them rich and still have ample power, thinking you don't need to lean them anymore thus creating a cooler engine case lesssening the atomization process.

If this is not the case feel free to educate me more on this...i'm no expert but have heard this before.

I have my fuel line entering from the rearward position, and the pressure line and delivery line are almost equal delivery beling longer.

Use a fuel line with the smaller ID creating a very snug fit on the nipples

Depending on outside temps, my needles are 4.5 turns out on the HS, 3.5-4 turns out on the LS and it runs perfect, temps stay around 210-230 at the plug.

I would recommend O'Donnel race fuel very strongly. This is my setup on the Maxx, obviously yours will be different but I have zero issues with this and is crazy powerful.
