I have the Maxx pipe and manifold, however my chassis is longer and it will accept the 180 deg bugggy style manifolds and I was curious if the 3002 pipe will work well on this motor.

I know the kit pipe/manifold is designed for this motor but if it will benefit any from a different pipe then I would like to try it...mainly to get it to lay down level like the buggies.

Main prob I see is where the springs would mount the manifold, can this be done on the right side of the motor as well?

Yes, if you are able to fit this kind of pipe and manifold then it will work, how good I cannot tell you but it will work, so feel free to try it.

For the springs, you could try and use 1 long sprong in stead of the 2 shorter one's

Are all of the manifolds designed to be fitted on the left side or are there right side versions? I would like to get the pipe to lay flat near the chassis so the manifold holes may not line up. I think I can get the big single spring to work but may get in way of the carb.

One more option for now....Since the 3002 is not avail for me at this time, I do have an older Novarossi REX pipe # 9886, it's a 2-chamber pipe and I believe it's an 086 style.

Will this pipe hurt my low and mid range with the 523? The pipe actually fits in the chassis but if this particular pipe will return poor fuel efficiency at mid throttle then I may just wait for the 3002....I do like the top end power also.

Thanks again

You will have less low and mid range power with the 9886 pipe compared to the 3002, it could be an option to use the 9886 pipe untill the 3002 pipe becomes available again.

in the revo because its a reduction geared transmission low end power is not really needed... with an engine as powerful as the 523 you will have no problem with low end power the gearing takes care of that
