Ive heard of the Rb 523ym being a very powerfull mill, but Ive also heard about the dreaded left turn lean issue,Ive heard it comes from not being tuned properly or from the fuel tank position on the revo, which is it and is it worth buying the 523 for my revo?

For me it can be a combination of both and also what you expect from the engine. IMO the position of the tank in the REVO is not helping the issue encountered with some of the customers who are using the TM523 in their REVO. However some have found a solution to this problem in this forum but they are quite different the one to the other.

IMO The customer service needs to be given by the one who has sold you the product. As for what you are asking here is a 100% guarentee on something wich is not possible nor for an engine nor for us...

I dont know how it works In France but in our hobby shops in Canada the owners and workers rarely know about all the products they sell, they may have some second hand knoweledge or info, but they carry far to many products to have experiance with them all.And as far as warranty on any product from any hobby shop around my part of the country they will always refur you to the company who produces the product.

Iam not trying to be negative or rude,Ill probably buy the 523 regardless because Iam just that impressed by the design and detail of the internals of the engine, not o mention the horse power that these engines produce.Ive dealt with many ohter manufacturers like Traxxas,Team Associated,HPI and always had a very possitive experiance with them on forums, help lines and in person.Heres hoping your engines perform and deliver better thatn the companies representatives.I never asked for a garranty from anybody, just some friendly answers to some simple questions and some support from the company of which I CHOOSE to give my money and buisness.

Kgomebe, Indeed, I designed and when selling the engine we will give the service possible to whom we sold it to(our distributors) as much as we can!, since distributor is selling it to the shop and making a profit it seems normal to me the distributor gives also gives the same service to the shop. nordstuff, Now we arrive at the shop, when the shop is selling our product, he is making a profit and so it is normal the shops gives the service to the end-user. For me it is no excuses that they have a lot of different products to sell, this is a little too easy I think. Since there are LHS wo are really doing their job well and giving the right service they need to have some profit on the product which we try to give room in our price-structure. However if you have a shop who sells the product without almost no profit then indeed they cannot give you any service... So if you want to have my advice and you go to a LHS who tells you that the manufacturer is responsible for the service then I suggest you go elsewhere where they propose a service and they can then indeed help you when there is a problem. We RB try to solve as much as possible the problems a customer encounters but it is impossible for us to handle everything direct. Hope you can understand this.

nordstuff, No problem, I just try to explain in my best possible way the system of distribution which sometimes also has its limits and needs to be explained.
I purchased an RBTM323 and the 523 and have nothing but success with them.
Easy to tune, easy to maintain, easy to run. I use 30% nitro, stock cap shims, at 760-800ft above sea level.
Depending on where you are, elevation wise, playing with the shims does the most to tune in the power!
Any questions, just ask!
Oh yeah, the left turn issue, not really a problem when you have the engine tuned in however the tank position on my REVO is centered on the chassis using a MBX5T Tank.
