I purchased a RB 523 for my Revo less than two weeks ago. It ran great during break in. I was trying to race it Saturday an it would not tune.Changed glow plug twice but the tune kept changing on every lap. It kept getting fatter and fatter. I pulled off because I did not want to burn it up leaning it out. Took motor off and had air leaks on front bearing and bushing on rear plate. Replaced Front bearing but bushing still leaking why is their not an o-ring on back plate? Needless to say I am not very happy with my $275.00 RB purchase.

The o-ring would have too much resistance for the engine and would melt eventually due to the high rpm's.

drfowler69,

I too had those issues and cured them with BOCA High Performance Bearings and a new back plate for "bump" starting.

I changed the bearings after about a gallon. Very easy to do with a heat gun.

Hi Would you mind telling me what size or type of bearing you purchased from BOCA? I need to get my RB up and running. I would like to get a set of those bearings just incase.

We suggest only to use the original RB spare parts on our RB engines.
