1.heat cycle

dose doing the heat cycle on a turbo engine a good idea? is that mostly for a non turbo engine method?

Hi,

as this is your first high-class nitro engine to break in I would recommend you the RB method. It's not as effective as the heat cycling but very easy to do from what I've experienced. For heat cycling you should have quite some experience with nitro engines or ask an experienced person for assistance.
But it's important to keep the temps up, thus you may need to cover the head a little when using the RB method.

I ran plugs for over 5L. That's not usual but I wanted to know what is possible. Normally cold plugs could work longer than the hot ones.
In general it's to say that if your engine starts to change its performance and/or has problems with the idle without changes in the weather then you should try a new plug first before starting to re-adjust your engine.
