I've been looking for a bump-start back plate for my 323 and haven't been able to find one. Everyone seems to have them on backorder. Does anyone know where I can get a bump start back plate for a 323???

What about tapping the bronze bushing and putting a small bolt/screw in the hole. Many have done that with success.

Is indeed possible but you need to have the tools to do it.

Thanks guys. I will try RB-USA. It's no problem tapping the bushing. I have all the tools necessary.

Hi Rody, I emailed them on the 17th, not to long ago. I guess they need a little longer to respond.
Is this item still being manufactured or is it discontinued? I hope its not the latter [Frown]

Cheers

You could also try to give them a call since handling all the e-mail takes always a little time depending on the workload they have.

Finally got my TM motor converted to bumpstart [Smile]
Kevin @ RB USA got me in touch with Robert Phillmore of Ace Hobbies & Supplies and he managed to supply me a backplate.

I’ve also switched the head button to run turbo style glow plugs.

I’ve been running my tm for the last few weeks with the bump-start back-plate, turbo head button and turbo plugs getting it dialled in. I’ve noticed a massive difference!! the engine is EVEN more responsive under throttle, my revo is now ridiculously snappy and seems to hold a perfect tune from a full tank to an empty one.
With the old engine setup the extended rear arms and longer gearing i fitted to the revo tamed the power but now I’m finding the engine wants to pull the front end shifting into second gear even with half throttle. total animal!!
