I here that if you get the backplate for bump start this will solve your problems. The only thing is that you have to use a bump start to start the motor. Anyway I have a 523TM I have not put it in my revo yet. How is that motor? Have you has the left turn lean issue? Do you have this motor in a revo? Just can't wait to put this motor in my truck. Oh I'll check on that part for you.

here is the part number for the back plate. You might want to double check but I am sure this is what you need. I just purchased the RD starter box at Tower. Hope this helps. #01901-323210

I got this motor in a revo. First of, in the first gallon the bearings break. After that, the engine is great. I noticed that it worked better with fuels with high oil %, like Mecca, but it worked horribly with Odonnell. After 3 gals, it's working great, but the left lean is always there. You could try a lot of things, but it will never dissapear. The last thing i tried is to put to much fuel line from the exhaust to the tank, to increase pressure, and also, i added 2 fuel filters to achive even more pressure.

There is a post here that someone has fixed that left lean issue. They said its all in the tune. I don't know. Some people have it some don't. Have you called RB and asked anyone there if they could help you? By the way. Did you contact RB about the bearings? Did they help you out? I mean did you have to send the motor back to them or did you fix the bearings yourself?

No, i fixed the motor myself becouse i live in Argentina and i bought the motor in USA. I forgot to mention that the left lean issue can dissapear if you richen the LSN. Of course that this will sacrifice a lot of performance, but at least you will be able to run safely without damaging your engine. Try what i told you, put as much fuel line as possible between the exhaust and the tank, and also add a fuel filter (there, between tank and pipe). It worked for me

Ya I don't understand the left turn lean issue at all. But when I get the motor in I will try what you said to do. I remember my savage doing the same thing. It never bothered me because I just bash. But you are right I don't want to damage the motor. It's cool that we live in almost opposite parts of the world, come from different back rounds, have never met but have a common interest. RC FUN. Talk to ya later dude.
