Hi im new to this forum so hello everyone. Ive read post after post about the left lean issue on the revo with the 523 engine and i to am having the same problem. I bought a revo for some fun and blew the 3.3 engine up so i thought id buy a rb engine for the extra power. Id like to know if i buy a dual chamber pipe from rb if it will solve this issue because i believe tank pressure causes this?

The 523 kit for the revo should of never been sold as a product imo if there is no way of fixing it, the engine is great but selling it as a kit makes people think thats all you need to buy for it to run when you cant even turn left without it cutting out. I feel sorry for all these people with the same issue as me [Frown]

hey man.. welcome to the club.... they are people on here who have found a solution... i just gave up on it and sold the engine the guy that bout it only drag races so he does not have a problem with it.... i to think its a back pressure issue cause when i ran it with the stock pipe it was ok but of course the power is not gonna be the same.... so i just gave up on it...good luck on doing your thing...

If an engine doesn't get enough fuel at a certain (driving-)situation then this is up to the car's fuel system and not the fault of the engine IMO.

It's not the cars fuel system as I have tried various methods, various fuel tanks and tank positions, re-routing the fuel line, different fuel line lengths, etc.

Also, if it was the cars fuel system why would it only affect the RB???

I too am going to try the standard pipe and see what affect that has. I have spent a small fortune on getting this thing to run right with no luck. In a straight line it's awesome, but just doesn't do corners at all.

Stefan: that is a bold statement to make.. this has never happened on the 3.3 or 18tm/tz that i have ran and i have never heard of it on the picco 26.... and it does not happen on the 21tm... i read your posts on here and you are very informative but thats an inaccurate and very bold statement to say that the fuel system is bad.. you are basically saying the manufacturer of the truck has a bad design on the fuel system.. well then RB should of never made an engine for it.... thats all.... this is not to start an argument but had to say something on that ... cause even rody made similar statements... if it was design badly then why make something for it.... thats just my 2 cents... over and out....

Maybe that's a bold statement and there are always two opinions on the same thing. But then I'm wondering why over here nobody ever had this problem with the TM 523 in a T-Maxx. And the back pressure of the pipes is always more than enough on any pipe I have had so far.

Anyways, you can try the pressure regulator from Team Orion which prevents leaner running at a low filled tank.

Ok, guys, got some news for you. I have tried the stock revo pipe that came with the 3.3 and it seems as if my left leaning issue has disappeared. The only issue now is that it hangs onto the revs after WOT, which indicated that the pressure buildup from this pipe is a lot higher and pressurises the tank more, oh and it definitely hampers the power, but it's still pretty quick.

I will be trying to verify this result with a Carbon Vantage pipe that a mate of mine has. I will report back in due course.

i have to agree with you.. i said this since b4 the 523 came out and what did RB do.. release a 523 with same pipe... i also tried with the 2045 side pipe.. but the left side leaning was still there.. not as much as with pipe it came with... good luck with that pipe.... let me know how it works as i love the engine.. but can't seal with the R&D to get to work right....

I have read alot about this issue, I have a 323 in my tmaxx and a 523 for my revo on the way,, im wondering, has anyone tryed a tmaxx tank? the tmaxx tank's fuel output is at the bottum of the tank (needing less pressure) then the stock revo's top output tank. anyone try this?
