Hi Guys, I've installed a 523 on my Revo and I can't wait to start using it I must say that compared to the TRX3.3 lump that I had, the quality of the RB speaks for itself.
I'm considering getting the RB filter, but I was wondering if the standard RB filter neck that comes with the filter clears the Revo spur gear etc? or do I need an aftermarket filter neck?
Thanks

Hey Franky. I have been wondering the same thing and asked with out any good answers. I did see over on the Traxxas forum a pic of a guy with the RB motor and filter using the neck that comes with the kit. The pic wasnt close enough to see that it cleared but I am sure it must have for him to use it.
I bought the Motor saver fitler neck pack of 3 for some options for when I get the motor just to be safe.
Hey you made Amainhobbies out of stock again didnt you? I want them to send me another coupon to try and save a few bucks before I go and buy it.

I've used tire glue to glue the traxxas filter neck to the base of a Mugen air filter. It seems to be a perfect bond so I will maybe use this. Alternatively, I could take my truck down to the local hobby store that stocks RB stuff and have a trial fit before I buy. But surely someone on here can answer the main quetion?

I just bought the filters and used the neck that was already on my revo. (Motor Saver) Used a small tie wrap to secure. Did the same with my buggy.

I took the stock REVO filter housing and cut it in half, then glued it to the RB filter housing. Then you can take of the filter neck, it worked great for me... I don't have any pictures of it but if you want I can post some....
