Just wondering if any of the MT RBTM Series engine owners will be attending the Canadian Winter Nationals held in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada, on March 2, 3, and 4, 2007.
If anyone is interested please reply as I would like to share some information regarding racing indoors at controlled air temps.

What are the chances to interest one, two or a few of the RB Team Drivers to show up at this race.
I for one would greatly appreciate the support for a new and hotly contested up and coming event and be able to approach a true factory rep for discussion on the TM series engines.
What do you say???
What do you

Its currently 10:01 C.S.T. (Central Standard Time) here in Canada.
I will contact Mike 'Caution in the Sweeper' Evans and Rayzer, Race Directors, Canadian Winter Nationals and get more information for you and the RB Products Team. I will messege the board when I receive this information.
Tell then, stay tuned.

I return from a very long abscence? from the RC racing scene, 14 years, picked up a Revo on April 8, 2006 and by September long weekend, racing at CORCS Nationals where I qual 9th and finished in the top 10 of the MT Class. Its the only one a ran in. Hope to have a 1/10 Stadium for Winter Nats as I can run in two classes.
Why wait????? The only way to get better is to race with other trucks when you can. Fortunatly, we (Winnipeg RC Racers) currently have access to indoor off road racing where I will be honing the skills until March 2007. Then with the new RB power, hope to turn some heads while I'm there.
And it would be a pleasure to me you as well.

Just to get you up to speed. I spoke to Mike Evans last night and he has joined the forum as he to uses RB Power.
Mike has confirmed that he will be posting all relevant and additional information regarding the Canadian Winter Nationals on March 2, 3, and 4th of 2007.
I hope to see it soon myself.
Regards.

Not a problem, its just that I competed along with Mike this past September in Calgary, Alberta, Canada at the Canadian Off Road Championship Series National Final and got to know the Winter National coordinators, Red Deer racers, and I thought it would be a good idea to let the info come directly from the source.
Its just that in todays information highways, I do not want to be the one to start any one, particularly RB Staff or potential Winter National Participants, on the wrong information.
I was a victim of this and I personally do not want this happening to anyone else because it sucks when it happens. Not only does it cost money, but more importantly it costs time, which is more valuable than money at times.
Regards.

Rody, I am one of the race directors. I have virtually nothing to do with the organizing though. Mike Evans and I share the duty of race director. We are both racers and we both love to race. It just happens to work out that he races truggy and I race buggy. I have no idea why though, the first time I raced truggy was the Canadian Nationals and I qualified in the A Main......
Anyway, this race, the Canadian Winter Nationals, was a very well attended race last year. We had right around 230 entries if I remember right. This year is looking to be even bigger. Last year we had the Jammin boy's from the North West, and this year they have promised more.
Rody, we would love to have you come on up and enjoy the weekend, as racers, or as a company. It's up to you in anyway you would like to do so. This invitation is open to anyone who would like to come up.
For those who don't know, Red Deer is about an hour north of Calgary, Alberta. It's a very easy city to get to.
Any questions about this can be directed to me at scott21@shaw.ca and I will do my best to answer the question and if I can't answer it, I will forward the question to someonewho can.
Thank you, Scott Long Canadian Winter Nationals Co-Race Director
How is it going and thnks for steppin in and posting in the forum.
Hope you keep up to date with this forum as you do with the RC Tech one.
Robin says Hi and I ready to return to the ole west for some heavy duty racing as she will always be my pit crew, especially whenit comes to fueling up the tank.

When is she gonna start racing? You can't be the one hogging all the fun!! Although from what I remember she had a little fun lifting her arm after the races.....
Make sure you say Hi to her for me as well. I can't wait until this race. One more offroad race to go for me until the Winter Nationals!!

And Rody, sorry I missed the comment about the weather. It might not be the best ewather outside but the race is an indoor race. The weather doesn't matter. We will have a different building than we did last year while still being in the same building. We will just be in the new side of it with new air handling units so the exhaust won't be an issue.
It was a little chilli inside the building last year but again, with the new air handling units, that should be better as well.

She is starting with an AEMini in November. She wants to run the novice class at Winter Nats if there is going to be that class.
As for racing, waiting for indoor track to get up and running. Nitro every Sunday once its open to the public. Still having some issues with the building inspector, mechanical side.
Till then, I be practicing and hopefully make the A-Main at Winter Nats like I did at CORCS Nats.

Rody, I will do that. The official press release goes out January 15 2007. Please keep your eyes open then.
Budz, I had my AE RC18B out in Downtown Red Deer racing against real cars going down the street. Kicked the crap out of them too. If you do get a chance to make it out this way in February, let me know. We have an electric indoor event in Calgary at a car show. check www.calgaryrc.com for details about that.

The website is being finished up now. We'll have registration officially open very soon. There are some changes to make but it will work for signup and paypal (a little later). I hope to have building layout (pit area, track area, etc.) on the site as well so you can get an idea of the space.
PLEASE pay attention to the parking signs...last race some ppl got tickets. If it says no parking...don't! We'll review with the Westerner Park and make sure we know where we can't park.
The reserved pit space program has been scrapped. We have secured a larger pit area in ADDITION to last years pits that will be utilized as well. This area will house the race traillers and overflow pits. It is heated and sectioned off from the track so noise and dust won't be much of an issue. Tables and chairs will be provided once again. Each racer will get 1/2 a table and one chair.
$50 first class, $25 second class, $25 third class. MAX 3 classes per racer
Friday practice is included in race fees. Thursday practice is $25 per racer (this is the only fee payable at the track).
All registrations will need to be paid before the registration cut-off of February 19th. As mentioned, we will have Paypal on the registration site. For other payment options, please contact Darcy at HO Performance 403-340-8863. After that date NO REGISTRATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED .
There will be a concourse (sp?). 1-2-3, cars and trucks together. Body must be raced at least once in a qualifier.
Host hotel is the Sandman. $104 CDN for 2 double beds. Quote reservation code 119682
Other accomodation are available, but be sure to book early as space is always tight in Red Deer (or anywhere else in Alberta right now...)
That's it for now. Once again, we'll post when you can go to the website and register.
Any ink-ling (info) on RB Products Representatives coming to Canadian Winter Nationals.
I for one would like the opportunity to speak to a true representative of RB Engines on a technical point of view in person rather than forum postings. Not that it lacks info, but rather adding a face to a name would be a whole lot better than looking at a computer screen.

I personally would like to go but I am not the only one who decides this here, there has to be a general interest for our company for me to go there and also there has to be an interest for our distributor in Canada...
We have contacted them to ask their point of view for this event and are waiting for their reply.
"I would like to be the first to let everyone know that Jammin Jay Halsey, Rick McCrery, Gary Guest, Ryan L McCrery and Chad Bradley from Team Jammin will be attending the Winter Nats to support the Canadian racing scene and thank the Canadian customers. What you guys have done and are continuing to do in Canada is not going unnoticed.

Thanks a lot, and yes it is unfortunate, but my attention is needed at the RB Inc. company in the USA, once this is up and running smoothly I can pass on to other things.
Thank you again for your support and good luck at the race.

Yes, the cold temps are hard for the plastics and also these temps are not so good for new tight fitted P/S engines, the older engines with a looser P/S work best in these situations.
To bad you broke too often but this is also a part of racing sometimes.
I will report our distributor did not show up, they told us they did though.
Sorry about that and I really hope to come over next year.
