I recently bought a tm323 and I am having problems keeping it running. I am currently using traxxas 20% and traxxas glowplug. The motor stutters and does not have and consistent power. It usually cuts out and dies out. I have tried almost everything and I am wondering if I should try some other fuel and plug.I have access to trinity fuel and os plugs Any other suggestions

I used traxxas fuel on mine and did not have a problem but I was using RB standard plugs #6.I have now switched to odonnells fuel for no reason other than its cheaper in cost.Being how you are in mn and its probaly kind of cold is maybe part of your problem. I would recommend trying a hotter plug like the rb standard #5. Thats if you know you are not having other issues such air and or mechanical. I am no expert but thats my 2 cents worth.

If you go with the standard number 5 RB plug you will not be able to connect the EZ-start wire (assuming you still use it) But honestly Traxxas fuel is garbage... it has around 18% oil and will always cause some sort of tuning issue. I currently use Odonnell and it is a great fuel!! I have used Byrons and it is good as well. The way your engine is acting sounds like it may be a tuning issue along with bad gas and possibly a bad plug. Also make sure there are no airleaks.. look for air bubbles in the fuel line.

Thanks for the Replies. I have noticed that they are air bubbles in the fuel line from the tank to the engine. I put on new fuel line and even ziptied the ends. How would I go about checking for an air leak.

Well when I was running the 323 I had a lot of problems with the Revo's fuel tank and that was the cause of my problems. It's only like $12 for a new fuel tank.. I would start that way and see if you have the bubbles in the line after that. Also you may want to call traxxas and tell them that the blue o-ring on your tank lid is bad.. they will send you the newly designed o-ring.

I checked for air leaks and come up with not having any. I also switched fuels and glow plug any other suggestions? I am ready to sell this thing

I strongly suggest buying a new fuel tank... The problem is not the engine it is the fuel delivery. Buy a brand new tank hook it up.. then get a fuel filter and mount it to the roll bar about the same area where you can run the fuel tubing through the roll bar. I bet this will solve your issue. IMO the Traxxas fuel tank is rubbish... every time I have had these kinds of strange issues a new tank has helped. I am probably on my 4th tank now. Don't get frustrated with the engine because those 323's run great.

I got it to idle awesome. But when the carb opens about 1/3 of the way it just cuts out. The needle setting are at 5 turns for HSN and 6 turns for LSN I have my friend at the hobby shop looking at it now. He is also very puzzled. We are going to try and flush out carb and maybe put a new carb kit into it. I am pretty much out of ideas? And thankyou for replying back to see it i got it corrected

Also I noticed you are in MN, I am sure it's very cold there.... What plug are you using? I know you stated you tried a new plug but it is possible that you got a bad plug right out of the package as well. You may want to try to run a hotter plug.

It souds like you could be running a bit hot. What temps are you running at. I found that these motors don't realy like to be running any hotter than 230 F. I found mine runs best when at 210-220 F. Hope this helps.
