When putting a motor saver airfilter on an engine you want to run it richer than normal.... Motorsaver gets more air which will make you run leaner which would have caused your high temps. Set the needles to the factory settings and then richen your HSN another 1/2 turn. Before trying to start the engine remove the glow plug and check it make sure it did not go bad. Also make sure the motor is not flooded by clearing all the extra gas out of the engine.

If you made it 1 full turn richer and it still ran hot I think you have an airleak somewhere.... How well does the gas flow from the tank to the carb? When you plug the pipe it should only take one maybe two pulls on the pullstart to get fuel to the carb. It's very common that the o-ring in the fueltank on the Revo goes bad. If you can plug your glowplug into the plug lighter and see it glow red then it's plenty to start the engine.

Sometimes the EZ Starter system does not heat up sufficiently the glowplug, check this before you go further. Also does the engine get enough fuel?

It might be a good idea also to ask your LHS or Dealer from who you have purchased the engine from to ask him to help you in this matter, this in general saves a lot of time.
