Hey guys, I have over a gallon and a half thru my 323 and have replaced my carb due to not being able to keep a good tune on the engine. I also just replaced the C.C. with a turbo and a t6tc turbo plug, but the motor will only run for about 10 seconds and then just die. I have added a shim because I am running 30% Maxy's fuel, and now it has 3 head shims in it, is this right? I tried to lean the carb to keep the engine running but I had no luck, I love this engine but I have run out of options. I also have a RB WS72 and a S7 for my Supermaxx and they are so easy to tune compared to the 323. Not sure what else I can do to resolve this issue.

Have you tried to richen your LSN and made sure your idle screw is set right?

today I pulled my CC to make sure I only had 2 shims in my head. My engine came stock with 2 shims, so when I added one for the turbo button that made 3, so I pulled one out and I thought this would cure my problem but, it didn't. The engine still dies after about 10 seconds after I remove the ingitor, so I went back to the stock button and stock carb settings thinking this would cure the problem and I was wrong again. Engine still dies, it sounded really rich, so I started to lean the settings a bit and the most I could get it to run was about 18 seconds, also it does not want to idle so I when I try to increase the idle screw it wants to hang up so the carb will stick at half throttle. Not sure what to do now?
I suggest in this case you ask or go back to your LHS or Dealer from who you have purchased the engine from and ask them for advice, maybe it is something on your car which we do not see or maybe there is something very simple to solve your problem. In any case it is always very difficult to find a solution to these problems if you do not have the car in front of you.
