Hello

First off, i'd like to say that i'm not voicing my frustrations to upset or break any of the rules here. But I must admit, i'm disappointed in the fact that when I bring up a valid question on how I go about getting something replaced through what is obvisouly warranty related. Now I understand that all warranty and related issues are to be directed to the dealer in which the item was purchased, but when that dealer is refering me to Sigma Trading and RB Concepts to handle the warranty issues and RB Concepts and Sigma Trading is telling to refer to the dealer for handling the issues, I cant help but feel that I'm being pulled in every direct but the right direct in getting the problem corrected.

I've posted several follow up posts on a previous thread that i started that was related to an air leak issue that i was having, then later found out the carb needed to be warrantied. Those posts have been deleted and now the entire thread is gone. That disappoints me for the simple fact that i'm trying to find out what I, as a consumer, needs to do in order to get someone to take care of this problem. Like i said, the dealer, importer/distro, and manufacture are all passing the buck to one another.

So here I am with an engine that i paid very good money for that i can not use nor can i get some straight answers from anybody. Can you see how this would disappoint a consumer?? A fellow hobbiest not being able to drive his vehicle because no one is willing to step to the plate and handle the issue at hand. All i want is information on how to get this taken care of so that i can be able to use what i've invested money into, that's all. Is that so much to ask for?

My only wish is that this thread will be read and responded to and not removed for the fact that its a "Rant" thread.

Thanks

Please send an e-mail directly to usa@rbproducts.com and we will try to solve your problem for you.

Buying goods over the internet from dealers who do not really have a shop might be a good deal because very often the pricing is low but when you run into trouble you normally also need to get assistance from them...

What we are facing here is a typical case of how things should not work for us. We as a manufacturer prefer you support dealers who have a real shop rather then the opportunities you can find on the internet and very often do not give you any service.

Anyway, if the person from who you have purchased the engine from does not want to give you the service you need then he is the big winner in this case...

Please send an e-mail to Sigma and we will try and solve the problem for you. This forum is not there to solve this kind of problems.

Thanks for responding without removing the thread. The dealer i purchased from is an authorized dealer and is on Sigma Trading website as to where one can find RB Concept products. So i'd say it's not a matter of "Buying goods over the internet from dealers who do not really have a shop might be a good deal". If a shop/dealer is placed onto a site showing they sell the product then they need to stand behind the product just as the manufacture expects them to. In this case the dealer is not willing to accept the responsibilities to replace the carb for me, instead they are trying to push me in the direction of going to RB Concepts and Sigma Trading which is feel is wrong.

Anyway, thank you for responding this time.

As you know I too had a issue with my 323.... My dealer has gone to sigma and explained the issues, and we sent her in.
They decided that they would have replaced my carb and backplate for free. But they also gave me the option for a NEW complete engine for a very attractive price. This was the option I went with, I felt that is was fair to RB and my self. Acording to my LHS is is due back in any day. I will pressure test this engine before it ever leaves my LHS. I might trade it off for a S7 and go big block as it seems that is a much better quality engine.

IAMaxxer: Yes, your engine should arrive here next Monday, and will be sent out to the dealer on that day.

Dsturbd: If you will contact Superior Hobbies and speak with either Mike or Rob (the owner), they both know the proper procedure for resolving your problem...yes, too many shops seem to not want to provide service, so this is something to remember when making more purchases.

If you visit the links page of our web site, you will see a listing of some dealers in the United States:

http://www.sigmatrading.com/links.htm

This is not a listing of all dealers, and you will notice that we are developing a rating system for these dealers...this is not a perfect system, but should help you with some guidelines.

Remember, cheaper is not necessarily better...the additional few dollars you spend with a quality dealer can be well worth it when you need technical support or other assistance!

Rody: Jeff from Superior Hobbies is taking care of the problem as we speak. I've contact the dealer via telephone and spoke with Jeff. I'm going to send him the entire package back so they can review the issue personally, get in touch with Sigma Trading and relay them the information they find. Once they've made contact, a decision will be made on whether or not to just get a new carb or a new engine all together. I feel much better about the situation and I thank you Rody for your input and hopefully i'll be back up and running in no time.

With this post I would like to thank all the dealers like Superior Hobbies who take care of their customers in this good way.

In most cases this is the way things should work and the problems need to be solved with the person from who you have purchased our product from. We from our side will do our job with our distributor and he will do so with the dealer. This seems sometimes long but this is the only way to keep the right service you sometimes need close to you.
