Just got my turbo button and head shims. I want to run 30% but I'am not sure what the best lub% would be for this. Also what would be a good starting point be for tuning? FYI i have also had the same issues with the carb as everyone else, slide, lsn ect. An optional carb would be nice.

Be sure to add your extra shim and run some good fuel. If you can get some odonnells I would suggest that, it's excellent. if not look for some fuel that has between 10-12% oil mix in it. As far as tuning, I would say richen up your needles 1/2 turn, or back to the factory 5 and 6 turns and tune from there. After putting the turbo on my engine I ended up getting best performance right around the factory settings.

Thanks. my lhs diddnt have any 30% odonells picked up some trinity platinum.I already hade put the shim in but i hadnt had any luck . It would take forever to start, then sound like it was gurgling. I did make some progress tonight, iam about 3 1/2 turns out and actually seeing some smoke and idling ok but maybe still a little rich. temp was only showing 168 (Maybe my temp gun got fried from the heat in my car i'll have to double check it)Do you think i should goto a hotter plug iam using a 7 thats what rb recommened. It was about 87* outside and 37% humidity when i had it running barometer was 30.03(still have to figure that one out)usually its about 105+ outside.Iam going to go drive it around a little more and see how it does if i lean it alittle more
