I am having problems with leakage around the back plate shaft through the brass bushing that the shaft goes through. It leaks fuel around and is making the engine very hard to tune. I have good compression still and if I get it to tune correctly it still runs great ever after over 5 gallons through it. I may have another air leak somewhere else but it will be hard to diagnose until I fix this problem. My question is what part do I need to order to get a new bushing for the back plate? I have looked at the new backplate but it says its one piece on the site I have looked at. Does this mean the backplate does not come with the bushing? If it comes with the bushing I will order it and hopefully begin to fix my problems. I plan on sticking with this engine for awhile and ordering a new piston and sleeve when I lose compression. I just have to fix the leaks I have to get the engine tuneable again. Thanks.

The bushing is mounted in the backplate so you need to order a new backplate.
While doing this you might also considering to change the conrod, 5 gallons is quite a lot for these engines, of course it also depends how you use the engine but I suggest you consider this.
