It's been 90 degrees here and I have to run my engine very rich (almost 6 turns out) and it runs poor if I want to keep it under 230. I live in the mountains with an elevation of about 5500 feet above sea level. When the outside temp was around 60 I constantly ran 200-220... now it's like 230-250. It has a very good smoke coming from the exhaust and never gets a lean bog. I was worried about this for a week or two but the engine has been performing great so I hope I am not doing any damage. Does this seem to be ok Rody? I am considering moving to 30% nitro as I have had this bring temps down in other engines before.

it has really been hot out here and I think everybody's engines are running pretty hot with this heat. you could possibly try a colder plug, i was thinkin about doing that. rody says to try not to exceed 230F with the TM323 but when its this hot I am not sure if there is much you can do besides runnin rich for lubrication and maybe a cold plug.

I think I will stop and pick up a cold plug this afternoon and see if that helps... I am pretty sure the plugs I am running are hot plugs. I kinda figured with it being 30 degrees hotter now that an extra 10-20 degrees in running temp would be ok.

Could also be that the device you measure with is not sufficient precise and so I would not put everything on the temperature measuring.

What is important with a nitro engine is that you always need to see smoke coming from the stinger and that the engine does not loose power.

Yes I do always see smoke and the performance never gets bad. I actually changed to a cold turbo plug and dropped temps by about 15 degrees. You are also correct about my temp device as on time it read 245 and I gave it the water test and it did take about 3-4 seconds to evaporate.
