I purchased the tm a couple of months ago and love the power this motor delivers. Ever since it was new I have had a difficult time getting it to tune.It seems like it takes for ever to get up to operating temp. when I first start it up and run it around its very sluggish my revo wont even shift into second. I lean it out a little and it helps, but by the time it starts to run really good my tank is about empty so I refill and the whole process starts all over again. As soon as i top of the tank The motor immediatly goes to a very rich setting then as the tank nears empty it starts to come to life. I have check my temps at the end of the tank and they are around 270 degrees. If I tune the motor at 1/2 tank fuel for good performance by the time the tank nears empty the motor is pushing 300 degrees. I am thinking about putting on a perry pump to try to the fuel delivery constant throught the tank. Is anyone else havin this same problem with there motor? If so post what you did to fix it so I can do the same. I hope this all makes sense. Thanks, Mike

sounds like you need to make proper needle adjustments a nitro engine will not run good until it gets to around 200 degrees f. are you letting it cool down between refills? how long is your pressure line from the pipe to the tank? where are your needle settings at right now?

I am not letting it cool off heck Im not even shutting it off I just refill while the motor is still running and hasnt ran out yet. my high speed needle is at 4 1/2 out and the low speed is at 5 1/2 out. I am not new at tuning nitro, but this has me stumped. Thanks Mike

I was having issues very similar to yours. check your oring in the fuel tank.. mine was streached and not sealing the tank.. that took care of a lot of my issues...

iamaxxer has a good point.take out your fuel tank and place it in a pail of water with the fuel lines hanging out and plug the feed line with your finger and blow trough the pressure line. if you see bubbles your tank is leaking. if the lid is leaking replace the o-ring. alot of the times fuel tanks will leak around the seam if this is the case replace the fueltank. return the carb needles to the factory settings and retune.

I have already checked the tank and it is fine. I have also checked and rechecked the complete fuel delivery system and everything is o.k. Basically it just seems like it takes forever to warm up about 3/4 of a tank ,and tank leaning is extremly pronounced for some reason. tonite Im going to try to tune at 3/4 tank then see what happens at the end of tank.

Not to beat a dead horse but we even switched fuel tanks with my son's with no improvment..... only when we switched it back and changed the oring did it improve

I cant say for anyone else but when mine went through that problem I changed a couple of things and it finally came alive. first, if you have a fuel filter make sure that it is installed properly(flow diredction), mine was backwards. second, replace fuel line, i know that you have checked it but the tiniest hole can mess things up. third, if you haven't already, cut holes in the front of the body for more air circulation, after i did these things i have yet to experience those problems again. hope some of this helps.
