hi all, i am new here and also to rc , i have a revo which i did alot of suspension work to for racing , i just impulse bought a tm323 for it , which by the way i think is the most awsome engine on the planet!!, my problem is that now with the new motor the handling went out the window, all the other guys are telling me i made a mistake and should have bought an os 18. i believe that if i can get the truck to hook up good i can smoke them , i dont think i made a mistake ,just need the right set up any suggestion would be appreciated. THANKS,WADE

hey IAMaxxer, i am running all titaniun , RPM arms , teflon gtr shocks 50 wt. oil gold dots in rear , orange in front , p2 rockers ,#2 pistons in back , #1 in front , RRP 16 tooth bell 40 tooth spur ,close ratio gear and response tires , this was kiiller with the 2.5 but the truck all over the place with the 23 also i run a single airtronics 94358 for stearing. with a pro line arm.
I just recently installed wide ratio gears and went to forty series pro line bowties i will be trying this set up at tonights race , i belive RB is the best motor out there and i will use for life , i just want to bring the handling back so i can disprove the naysayers who told me i bought the wrong motor!
was wondering if suspension should be set up different for big block? also i se lots of people are going to ballistics extended chassis should i do this? THANKS, WADE

hey you can beat the guys with the 18TM's and TZ's.... It comes down to hooking up and not doing wheelies. I have actually found a very good setup for my Revo with all this power. A lot of people say it's tooo stiff but it works great for me. I have the P3's on the truck and the rods are in the outtermost hole to give the lowest ride height. I also have the purple and pink springs with 80wt shock oil... I run 15/38 gears and in the transmission I have the close ratio gears. With this set up I very rarely get wheelies, for hooking up I run the Proline 40 series bowties. On a dirt track you do need to ease into the throttle with this much power but once rolling you can smoke them OS's because they lack in the power compared to the RB, plus you can get just as many RPM's as them. I did a drag race with a guy that had a TZ and I smoked him untill I ran out of gear.. he had the wide ratio so he had more gear but in the ammont of time it took there would never be a track with that long of a straight.
