My carb does not open past 90%. After hours of tweaking and testing I still haven't resolved the problem. I've rotated the carb and tried it in several positions, I've adjusted EPA settings, experimented with different linkages, adjusted the throttle mixer arm, removed the slide boot etc. It appears that there is too much slop/play between the slide and the slide cylinder. I tested the carb side by side with several other carbs and all other carbs pull much smoother (from all points on the servo lever) than this specific RB carb.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Are there any other RB carbs that would work well with the TM323?

I have fix the problem with a simple twist of the carb body, this method work great with the original throttle arm and the 3Racing throttle arm.

The only problem i have is that the engine is imposible to tune correctly, i have discover a little hole in the carb body, now i have send it in warranty.

As I mentioned in my first post, rotating the carb did not work for me.

I would also be interested in knowing if anybody has used a different carb with the tm323. Rotating the carb helps but the slide still binds and does not have a smooth action.

Hummer,

If you loosen the pinch bolt you should be able to turn the carb with carefully placed needle nose pliers.

I can't even get the pinch bolt to loosen... The screw itself just comes loose!

Sharky,

If the Sirio S23 TX is the same carb that would defeat the purpose. The intent is to replace the existing carb with a better unit.

Hummer Man,

The "screw" you're referring to is most likely the pinch bolt. It's the bolt on the throttle arm side of the carb and is positioned in line with the carb slide. If you can unscrew it about 15 turns or remove it completely then go at the carb carefully with needle nose pliers.

That's right evorevo, I am looking for a different option for a carb than the stock one. I want to try something different that has a smoother slide with less play in it.

if you unscrew the pinch bolt and lightly tap it the carb should come loose. there should be no need to use pliers to move the carb.

What I am looking for is a quality carburetor that will serve as a replacement for the dysfunctional carburetor that shipped with my engine. Again, mentioned carburetors should be of greater quality than the original and known to work with this engine. We need a carb guru to help us out here! [Smile]

Thanks

If you feel something is wrong with your carburetor then please ask your LHS or Dealer from who you have purchased the product from to help you solve this matter.

If the dealer cannot solve your peoblem then you can always contact our distributor in your country.

I'm having a simillar problem. When I accellerate at full throttle the engine appears to blog and kill. I have adjusted the card for 3-4 tankfuls. It does get better but in the end it will kill in a matter of 2-3 minutes. I will never be able to finish a MAIN at this point.

Is there a way to purchase a new Carb and return the defective one after the replacement has been received?

This is probably not the carburetor but more a glowplug or fuel problem. I suggest you first try and change the glowplug for a new 01055-TRX one and if the problem is still there you could try a different fuel.

Have you spoken to your LHS or Dealer from who you have purchased your engine from about this problem?
