I ordered my 323 this weekend from Ace and I was wondering when I install it on my revo am I to use the stock airfilter that comes with the truck or is there an RB filter that is designed for the engine and truck being that it doesn't use a "traditional" elbow coupler?

We have used the original REVO airfilter without any problems and see no need to change this. The only thing you need to take care of is change the foam frequently to prevent dust from going into the engine and shorten its life.

thanks Rody, do you recommend "cleaning" the air filter or do you suggest just replacing the filter each time?

Rody always advises to replace. If you clean there is always a risk dust is still present in the filter and can enter your engine.

I always replace my filters since I have an RB. Except for old and cheap engines.

This should be in your instruction manual you got with the engine too. If you have the same manual as me.

Is the RB .21 Air filter a good filter for this engine? Or is the stock one better?

Rody,
i noticed in .21 forum you were talking about using the RB air filter oil instead of some the other after market oils. since there is no problem with using the stock air filter with the revo, would you recommend using the RB oil on the traxxas filter elements instead of the traxxas oil as well?

I use the motorsvaer air filter. You can cut a hole in the back of the motorsaver housing to snap right on the revo intake tube that fits on the carb body.I am sure its a popular mod but it made my RB perform well.

i would use a dual stage air filer like what you would see on a 1/8 scale buggy if possible
