is this the part number for the backplate?
RB CO1900-120
i want to remove pull starter from tm728 so i can use starterbox.

The part# is 01900-122, however it has been discontinued, it could be there are still some around in the shops, try and make a search over the internet.

could i use the tm928 back plate?
or the novarossi.28 backplate?
i will have to trim
the nipple off the crank correct?

If you want to use the TM928 backplate you indeed need trim the pin of the crankshaft wich is not easy to do.

Yes, you could change the crankshaft of the TM928 but this will be too expensive in my point of view.

i cannot find the correct backplate(01900-122) anywhere..i will just have to cut the nipple off the crank and use the 928 coverplate.
