G'Day, I am looking at getting a .28 engine to race with in my Mugen MBX5T Truggy.
Has anyone had this RT28 engine yet?
How are the revs compared to a TM728 or the TM928? I use to have a TM928.
Doese the RT28 Rev a bit harder than these two? Also how is the torque compared to these two? Lastly doese it get better fuel consumption than these two or will it drink a bit more fuel?.
Any information is appreciated about this motor.

I thought it might have been a new designed motor for Truggys.
The 928 isn't much of a motor for racing with truggys as this is the motor that I use to have. It is more of a monster truck motor.
Thanks for the info. Appreciated.

I suppose they could have changed things internally to make it more for a truggy, like mabe different timing ? But the bore and stroke and everything else is the same I think. You would have to wait for Rody to give you a better answer than mine.

Hi All, you can find most of the information about this new engine HERE
The base of the engine is the TM728 and we have reduced the qty of ports so the engine rev's a little less and also uses less fuel, the torque of the engine has been maintanted.
Also this engine has been developped to be more accesible in price too while maintaining its overall quality.
Are these both the same motors, just the ST has a rotor start and the RT hasn't?
So I guess by the look at the specs it is pretty much the same as the 928 with 7 ports?
Just trying to get as much info that i can on this motor. Will it still rev up to 40,000rpm like the other new Truggy motors that are coming onto the market like the GPR.28 motor?
Thanks.

The ST28 will probably do lower 30,000 rpm's and is based on the TM728.The RT28 is based on the TM928, And I have seen the TM928's do 40-41,000 rpm's on the dyno graphes.
