I have a 928 that I used heat cycled break in with and now trying to set lsn and the engine loads up even when lean. Hns is set ok I have good power and smoke on the top end, but low end is rich. I have a Moter-Saver air filter and it is not over oiled. The idle set from the factory is small".5mm" and I have not moved the idle up no more than 1/8 of A turn. I did set the lsn at 6 turns out today with the 1/8 turn up on the idle and about 1/8 lean on the lsn and it helped. I have an RB #8 plug with OD 30% and one small head shim. Is this the right thing to do????

Try a #7 glowplug and lean more your LSN untill it is right. Try not to compare too much to the qty of turns the needles are, sometimes they are way off.
We suggest the base settings a place to start from, they are never the final settings.
