How do you know it has lost top-end speed, did you measure it, or does it sound different?

The .28 engines have more torque, so you must use a longer gear-ration to obtain the better top-speed and to use the right rpm out of the engine.

You ask me to advice what gear-ration you can use..., since I am not familiar with your car I need to know the possible gear-ratios you can use and have available on your car to be able to give you a suggestion.
