hey rody i have a dilema,i am also chasing a high idle issue too but thats not what i need help with.i was replacing my orings on my high speed needle and everytime i go to threading the needle in the orings keep getting ripped up.i've used green slime and/or rb1400 as lubricants to get it in but still they tear as they enter the barrel.it is also a bear to get the orings on the needle.any ideas?also one more, well two more.process of finding leaks on an engine that would cause tuning issues? ive also noticed that the engine screws are picky on the type of screw driver use, any suggestions on part numbers, size, and or manufacturer.any help or suggestions would greatlybe appreciated.thanx.

I mount the o-rings from the side where you adjust the HSN, however be carefull to remove the burrs which occur after some time of adjusting the needle.
There is no real process to find leaks, all I do is see if there in no fuel leaking from the carburetor as for the tuning isssue, this is more hard to find, can be a bad bearing or compression getting low which cause most of the problems, however it can also be something outside the engine(clogged main-needle or tank).
As for all the screws, if you do not use the right tools then they damage easily.
