i have a question about the power of the TM728 engine. I am looking for a new engine for my Tamiya Terra Crusher (As an replacement for my OS Max .21 rgxp) But how do i know my car can handle the engine? I know of people who run an Picco p3 monster .26 and that should be around the max that the car can have. I have seen both engines run on an rc-racingcars.com meeting (There where 2 savages with the TM728 and one buggy with the picco .26) They both run great but i liked the sound and the looks of the RB more. I dont need rpm or hp ratings as there is no standard to measure them, i just need an indication of what i can expect so i wont be dissapointed because the car cant handle the power. I also asked this question at my LHS but he couldnt answer it because he doesnt have experiance with RB engines. So ill hope you can help.

Go for it man.... I really doubt it is too much power for your truck. I run a Revo and I went from the stock small block to the tm323 and it has handled it just fine.. next I am gona install the TM928... that should be insane!!!

ice- I'm not familiar with the terra crusher so I cant speak to wether your drive train, transmission will handle the power. I have a savage and all i needed to do to get the TM728 manageable was to go with taller gearing and adjust the suspension (of course my drive train was already upgraded prior to the RB) In the context of using the RB the power comes on so smoothly that for me its a matter of how fast do you want to go just press the trigger.

It'll be fine. There's lots of info on the Tamaiya thread on the grid, others seem to complain of axles and spur gear alignment, but running the RB should be no prob especially if you already have a 21 in there.

ok, sounds good. But my lhs has given me one more option, an VEGA engine. I havent heard of this engine before but since some of his sponsered drivers are getting them they should be good? If i am correct they are also novarossi based like the rb's? But this engine is almost €100 more expencive than an rb, so i need to do some more research on this make. And "Mike the snake" do you mean the starting grid forums? if so do you have an direct link to the thread, as i couldnt find it there.

sgrid.com or something like that. It's not hard to find, do a search for "the starting grid"
