Which of RB's current inline exhaust pipes is best with the 28 engines? I've got a 2 piece with an 086 pipe, but would one of the newer pipes be better? I'm putting it into my Monster GT, so I'd like to use an onroad inline header/pipe combination. The truck is only played with, I don't race. I'd like for it to give good mid range and top end without seriously loosing much bottom end performance.

If I may... Pipe #'s 9901, 2006, 2015, 2020. When would a person use one of the pipes? Oh, by the way, thank you for responding.

This all depends on the track conditions you are running at and what you would like the engine to do.
Since the .28 engines are not really used for competitons, this because they are not allowed, we have tried all these pipes and found the 086 or 063 working very good. Of course the other pipes make the engine work more or less good in a certain rpm range but then this must be judged by the customer itself.

How does the 2018 compare to the 086? I'm not really concerned about fuel economy. Just looking for the most power over the broadest rpm range. Thanx.

The 2018 produces a little less power then the 086 so will also use a little less fuel. The 2018 is also a 3-chamber exhaust compared to the 086 wich is of the 2-chamber type.
For me the 086 is the pipe which produces the most power, this is also due to the fact that this is a 2-chamber pipe compared to all the other pipes being 3-chamber.

Yes Thanks Rody. I know that the larger displacement does not automatically mean the pipe also has to grow proportionally, and I have had good luck running the 053 on my 28. I'm looking for more top end, my engine has low end power to spare, so I'm wanting to trade some low for some more up top by piping my motor for top end power, and I was wondering about these pipes for the larger engines. It seems that the pipes made specifically for the bigger engines are geared more towards low end grunt, so I'm glad to hear that the good old 086 will still make the most power.
