My pull start cord broke and in trying to fix it I removed the pullstart, everything went to pieces, I've been looking and looking and I can't find instructions on how to install this (esp. the spring) can someone point me to these instructions ? I'm a bit slow so one with pictures would be greatly appreciated

Sorry we did not think of this, we will need a little time to realize this, in the meantime maybe you could drop by at your LHS and ask him advice on this matter.

At this moment I am in Bazil attending at the World Championships 1/10 200mm and will try to work something out for you when I will get back into the office, untill then you need to be a little patient because it is quite hard to explain.

ok.. i had a issue with my rossi28 pull start this 2 weeks ago.. i went to take off th epull start, same as the rb 28, and before i could catch myself i had the spring let go.. so lastnight i finally sat down to put it back together.. this is the easiest pull start i can possible think of..

wind the spring up as tight as you can get it..

insert spring into the spool hooking hook into hook area as you install it..

let spring unwind and fill spool area tightly

now rewind the string on the spool

insert spool into pull start housing, use a pair of needle nose pliers to put middle hook into proper place

MAKE SURE TO have some string hangine out of the pull start housing with no tension on it..

install onto engine..

now pull string out whil eholding it, place rubber tube over string, then handle and make a knot..

it i sthe easiest pull start ive had to deal with.. only lost a inch of pull start cord length..

Thanks CRSMP5, this has been bugging me for a while cause while I don't have a problem purchasing a new pull start I live in Jamaica that it'll be a while before I can get it. I'll give your solution a shot this PM

i just hope it helps you out.. i think once you have it all in hand you will see how easy it is, the real trick was the spring sits real nice in the spool.. it was soo easy that it took less then 5 min to do.. i was suprised as a 8 port is a major PITA and its easier then force pullstarts..
