Hi guys,

I've received my TM728 now and bolted it onto an Associated Monster-GT for now.
However, I haven't received my Exhaust yet. I was thinking of the 86 one-piece pipe coupled with the RB-1351-03P long on-road header.

I know that I'll use some low-end torque due to the length and design of the header, but it's the only way to fit a decent pipe into the MGT, since the engine is mounted transverse (parallel to both axles).

Does anyone know if it's a direct fit? Does the header fit onto the engine at all (the Pullstart might be in it's way...)?

thanks.

Could you post a picture of your car, just to see what you would like to do is possible or not.

Here's a shot of it:

I think the one-piece pipe should fit - unless the header is blocked by the Pullstart or the whole header/pipe assembly is too long. Guess I would have to remove the Battery-Box then.

Yes, the E1351-0386P will fit. I also checked the other on-road manifolds and they fit too.

Merci beaucoup, I've ordered it right away. [Wink]

My last concern is that the pipe is too long and won't fit in front of the battery box, but rather than measuring the whole thing I'll just wait for the exhaust to arrive and see if it fits right in.

It looks like the 1700-193 header is pretty close to the stock side mount header for the mgt.

It looks like you might have to tip the exhaust pipe down thru the hole in the side tray,,maybe not enough drop on the manifold.

I will be using the 086 pipe that I already have
Maybe someone can confirm this,,realizing that he has all of the time in the world and is never busy [Big Grin]

bezzy, thanks dude. Never drove the MGT before, I'm dumping lots of goodies into it before I fire it up for the first time... heard that the MGT is a great basher, so I figured I'd give it a try.
the list goes on and on. Just finished the home-brew FOC for it.

I thought about a rear-exhaust setup already, but it seems like the rear-exhaust setup with a standard buggy-header would be way too long, so the Arms and/or even the Tires would hit the pipe whenever the suspension compresses.

Two parts are in the mail now...

RB1351-1186P Offroad manifold + 86 Pipe (the Pipe alone wasn't in Stock and I figured that I'd need the manifold anyway... later on, for a different Truck.)
RB1351-03P the long On-Road manifold

I'll let you know which combination fits... if one of them fits at all.

Hey Rody,,what manifold would you reccomend for a side mount conventional exhaust setup for the MGT? Side mount meaning along the length of the chassis with the stinger of the pipe exiting the oval hole cut in the tray

Thanks for any help.

#01351-12P should fit if the exhaust stinger points out to the left side of the car when you are standing behind it.

the #01351-12p looks to be a inline manifold and would turn the pipe in between the rear shock tower and the motor. I am interested in a conventional setup with a rubber exhaust coupler and then the pipe.

Someone please correct me if i am wrong.

With the way the motor is placed in the MGT(transverse)would the 01700-193 or the 01700-192 work for a side mount exhaust. this is the design of manifold that would place the pipe down the length of the chassis. Would either of these work and would they clear the pull start?

Thanks for any help!

You will then need a conventional manifold, like our #1301P, this manifold will also clear the pullstarter and it will be adjustable.

That manifold did the trick,,,just had to grind down one corner to clear the pull start.

Thanks again!! [Smile]
