I got it in and running, to be honest, I really didn't expect this kind of performnace. The .28 is clearly a hoss motor. Wheelies at will and even more surprising is that the motor will rev quite well. Having looked at the porting and considered the bore/stroke I honestly didn't expect it to rev well, but it does.
Off the bottom it's a beast, tons of grunt, and it winds up pretty decent too.
Well done Rody, thanks for making a production pullstart for us monster truck folks. Greatly appriciated.

Hey monstermaxx.So I guess the 28 was worth the wait.What clutch and clutch bell are you running,and would you consider a taller gear?

Yeah thay's what I run as well [strobe's slipper clutch with the 51 steel spur 18 tooth bell]Wheelies and top end must be nice.With out a doubt the 28 is my next power plant.

Stuck My 728 in a Dom Truck and have to say I'm not overly impressed by it. Sure its a fast old engine and if you need a pull start engine then it's the one to go for but if your sticking it into a flat-Chassis ride that can take a starter Box then go for the WS7 II.
Just my 2p's worth having run a 728 Dom Against a WS7II Dom.
