At first, I'm very glad of my new RBconcept engine. I took him to the Belgian championship in Luxemburg for the 235mm class. I've won the last race with my old engine and I was curious for my smallblock. After the running in the engine performed really well! In the heats he was perfect! I had the highest topspeed in compare of the other racers. So I had TQ. In the final I had the leads with2 rounds at the 2nd after 5 minutes. It was going real well. But I made a mistake after 10mins and lost my pipe.
I can say one thing: For 235mm class, Get yourself the V15!

Hey Rody, I heared from Kristof De Block who saw you at kyosho masters you need to clean your engine with white spirit? Because my bearing is dead... But I won the final with an old engine. I think maybe the bearing is dead because I cleaned it with brakecleaner? I also found little irritation on my conrod. I'm going to replace it also. Is a ceramic bearing a must have?
You can also contact me by PM so we can talk in dutch. What is much easier for me...

Greets!

I use white spirit to clean our engines, this does not mean you cannot use break-cleaner...

If you have some oxydation on the conrod it is only an indication that you have that you have probably left some fuel in the engine. No need to change the conrod for this.

The ceramic bearings have a longer life compared to the normal bearings but they are not indestructible.

Hmm, the ceramic bearings were in backorder. There's a new standard bearing installed now. I looked at my old bearing with a magnifying glass and there were pits in 2 balls. I was very happy that I didn't drive the final with that engine [Smile]
But except the little bearing problem the engine is a rocket [Big Grin] (The fastest in our belgian competition I think)
