I recently purchased a RB V15T and having mojor tuning troubbles. At the moment the lsn is 4 and a half, midrange is factory and hsn is 4. It has 12 tanks through it and the compression is amzing. Could someone please tell me the factory needle settings or the settings that are working for you.
BTW I am no noob as this is my 5th engine. any help would be greatly apreciated.

Ok so i've tried despretly to get this thing to run without sucess. I has 30 tanks through it now (I have yet to run a tank without stalling) and it still gets stuck at TDC!! problem? Anyhow i will try to explain my troubles as best i can....take a breth...
My needle settings are Top: 3 1/4, Mid: flush, Bottom: 2 1/2. I have it installed in a RC10GT and has never temped above 270F. The glow plug I am using is a RB/Novarossi no 5 turbo hot.
Starts up fine, usally on the 2nd kiss to the box when primed. After it fire's up I rev it up a bit on the box to clear out then I start to drive it around. I just do a coupple of speed runs up and down the street to heat it up a bit After about 2 minutes I set the lowend (let it idle for 10 seconds then punch the throttle, If it hesitates too rich. If it starts to "ping" at idle its too lean. ) After that I set the high end by the amount of smoke and perfomance. OK after that process I run it up and down the street to see if it is under 250F After i"m happy with it I will continue to run it on the street. This is when I run into trouble. After a coupple of WOT runs It starts to lose bottom end power- which indicates that it is too lean so I richen it up 1/8th on top and continue. So I get my bottom end power again and I continue to do WOT runs up and down the street. All is perfect for a coupple of runs temp is usally about 245f then something else happens: I hit the throttle and It sounds like it is struggling to gain RPM and stalls but just before that happend it lets out a big puff of smoke? Then on occasions it would die when I let off the throttle? Im hoping its because of bad bearings. I have tried: 2 new glow plugs, new pipe, checked for airleaks in the tank. This has me stumped and I have tried for ages to get it to run right with no succses. It has not run a full tank without stalling.
The fuel that I am using has 20% oil and 20%nitro.
I hope you dont mind me asking for help but it would be greatly apreciated.

don't think the engine is intended to run up and down the street. I think it's running too lean. It should not jump that high in temperature in a couple of high speed passes.

If you havent already,,I would seal the motor first,,it sounds like it might have a air leak when it gets up to temp.

I am curious though as to how the power is. I have been looking at the small block 15 for my Losi truck
