Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone would have any advice on the following;

I have a new C6-BB7T, I've checked the needle settings and all are correct and at the factory settings.

The engine is connected to the servo and there is virtually no movement when pulling the break, due to there being only a tiny gap to allow fuel through the carb.

I started the engine, for the first time, yesterday afternoon. It started OK but it started to scream and tried to take off like a bat out of hell - At this point is was still sat on the starter box.

If I pull the break or adjust the throttle trim to max, then the engine calms down with the wheels only slightly turning. When the break or throttle trim is applied I see next to no movement being pushed against the carb, however, I can see great pressure being placed on the engine as the servo is pushing so hard.

From what I know and looking at the following link, am I correct in saying;

Picture B: LSN
Picture C: Idle Screw

Would it be worthwhile turning the idle screw, picture c, anti-clockwise or do you think I should look at something else?

This is my first build and I do not have much experience in this field, as you can probably tell, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You,

Jason

I would suggest you lower the idle of the engine by turning the idle screw anti clockwise. This should take away your problem.
However if the problem persist then do not hesitate to ask some advice from your LHS from who you have purchased the engine from.

Thank you for the reply Rody,

I shall attempt to adjust the idle screw and hope that solves the problem.

Thank You Again,

Jason
