Should I replace a rod after breakin or is it safe to wait until the first gallon?

I had almost 3 gallons on mine before i changed it. You can normally go at least 2 from my experience.

Depends how hard you run the engine but if you want to play it safe then I suggest you change the conrod each 1 1/4 Gallon.

Don't forget to check your crankpin. It should still measure at least 4.97mm and it shouldn't be 'oval'.
