My x12 always stalls when I remove my igniter. I adjusted it to the factory settings and it still wont work. What is the problem? Thanks!

I have been trying to break in my engine as well, Yesterday I got it started and let it run through 1 tank of fuel sitting stationary, just fine. I then took it out to a parking lot to try and let it idle around and at least let it roll a bit. However when I tried starting it, the RB 12 seemed like it wanted to run but when I removed the Glow plug igniter it died. I tried several times but no luck. I just stuck plenty of after-run oil in it and went home...
The igniter was eventually drained of power so I will try again tonight. Could a low battery in the igniter not get the plug hot enough to let it keep running? Also note that with the igniter on the plug it would run just fine.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what would cause this?

Had a similar problem to an engine of mine and my bottem end was way to rich, when i leaned it out a little my engine kept on running. When you try this look at the exhaust that when you leaned it out a little that there's still unburnt fuel coming out.

The low end needle is set to rich. I had the same problem with my RB .21's. It was so rich that the car didn't want to move.
A low battery in the ignitor will cause your motor not to start or be very hard to start. I've seen this happen many many times at the track, so keep your glowplug ignitors charged. I have a habit of charging mine the night before I goto the track and I keep it pluged into the charger at the track.
To set the high end needle turn it in a little at a time till you get good high end speed. Make sure that you see smoke coming out of the pipe and that the motor doesn't get to hot (220 - 240F is good).
