If I uninstall the 8mm venturi what exactly will I achieve besides more fuel comsumption?

I have a C5 RR with a 9mm venturi, are you saying that I can run the engine without it, which would make the Carb intake almost 10 or 11 mm?

what was the result of taking out the venturi restrictor completely?

i never did this and am curious...

You should find a little more torque at the low-rpm range, that's all. Try it, however it could be that you do not even feel the difference.
