If I run 30% Nitro should I install a shim on my new C5 buggy engine?

What would you consider a safe high temperature in deg C after break in is complete?

BTW my first RB and it looks very good can’t wait to get it leaned out.

Yes, if you use 30% nitro we suggest you add 1 shim of 0.1mm.

For the running-in temperature, around 180F should be O.K.

Speaking of 30% Nitro, I have a C5 RR that I have just started breaking-in, got 1 tank down. I am using 20% Byrons with 12% percent lube. Two Questions

1. Are there any major performace differences between using 20% and 30%?

2. Is 12% lube sufficient for the C5, or should I add some additional lube to the mix (ie, Nitro Blast) ??

1) Yes

2) Most of the commercial fuels available have sufficient lub. inside, it all depends of the brand and oil used by the brand of fuel available.
In other words, 12% lub. seems sufficient to me...
