I am running in a CE engine and the temps I am seeing are pretty high at times, 250 on 2 occasions. If I richen the top the engine will not come off idle without dying. It idles fine - maybe too good it may be lean on the bottom (factory setting).

Do the CE engines runn hotter than the S7's or say a Novarossi SBK? I have much experience with these 2 engines and usually have no trouble. My SBK has the same size heatsink as the CE.

I'm sure the engine will come around just fine - just wondering what the differences in temps may be...

If I richen the top to get the temps down. The engine will flame when the throttle is applied. Idles good though.

Seems you still need to close more the idle-needle. In fact what happens is that when you open the throttle there is too much fuel coming into the cylinder(the fuel has build up in the crankcase due to too rich idle needle setting) and this makes the engine flame out.
