Hi, I've just purchased an S7 and I need to attach the flywheel. I've heard you need to Hydraulicly lock the engine to tighten the nut. Is this correct or is there a different way.

Hi there,

well this is an option.
In the early days they where afraid to grip
the flywheel with a nipper the flywheel
could get an oval shape, nowadays you can just
use a big nipper to hold the flywheel and then tighten the nut with the correct tool.
The alu they use nowadays is much better.
Be careful, do not overtighten the nut as it may snap.

I hope this cleared things out for you.

Dont forget to use a small drop of locktite on the nut this keeps it from coming loose while running (happened to me yesterday in the final)
If you dont want to grab the flywheel with a spanner Q world sells neat tools that go over the flywheel pins in order to hold it.
