Does anybody use after run oil? I'm not using it but I've been told to do it. Any specific brand?

Hi, Kamikaze!! I truly didn't mean to interrupt (Your) forum with my giber-gabber about other topics. It will never happen again I will only stick to the technical questions. Such as your's. "After run oil." Yes, you should use it. if for no other reason it makes the starting of your engine easier. There are other benefits as well, Prevents Gumming, Prevents Rust, and Longer engine life. Prather Products Of Wilmington. California is the maker of the after run oil that is popular in my area the name of this after run oil is not a very technical name so you might not like to use it its called "After run oil.

Marvel Mystery oil is what is used in my area and is very good at all of above mentioned items and only costs $3.00 a quart

I think that Prather's oil is actually Marvel Mystery oil. They just use another presentation.

well.. i use Tornado oil.. i dont think by looking at brand names is good for comparison.

I use Hobbico after run oil - automatic transmission fluid in little tiny bottles for $3.00!!!
