have it in my jammin crt .5 and i noticed that the front bearing might be leaking since after the first tank as in first tank since i put in the crt, i inspect around the engine to see if there any leak and i notice thers a build up of oil or liquid around the front bearing .. my friend says this is normal is this normal? also this engine is kind of old since i baught it used but the compression is still there ...and as for the numbers that are stamped under the case cannt really read it . i just wanted to know if a the new v12 piston and sleeve would work also the parts number for the bearing... well this is all i know about the engine that its a .12 and on the side of the case says x12 and it takes turbo plugs.any help would be appreciated .. thanks..

Could be possible there is some oil build-up at the front-bearing, if the engine is working well then I would not worry too much about this, however if there is a lot of leaking then it might be good to change the front-bearing.

Concerning the Piston/Sleeve of the V12 can be used in the X12 engines, however the main-bearing of the X12 engine is different compared to the V12 engine.

thanks for the reply.. wat made me thnk about the bearing goin was after i clean the engine and put after run oil in it i spin the crankshaft and can see oil by the bearing .. even if i dont spin the shaft and just let the engine sit in the crt .5 oil will be visible by the bearing...

k now on to the v12 piston/sleeve.i just viewed the exploded vew on the v12 .. and notice there was a little pin that connects the piston to the conrad and 2 c clips. do i need to replace that as well?..

01700-0355
01700-0355/S ---piston sleeve

01700-477- front bearing
01700-475- rear bearing

01700-467- crank shaft

are these the parts i need to rebuild my x12 with the v12 internals? i need to get some price quotes on these parts.. as it seems it might be as well i just get a new engnine if its like $50 more than these parts total lol

This is normal that you see oil at the front-bearing especially when you let the oil you put inside the engine go there.

Part#01700-0355/S includes the piston/sleeve and conrod mounted with the wrist-pin and clips.

For the X12 you need main-bearing 01700-075

I think you are not looking at the right engine here, also this is not the place where we can quote you pricing, I suggest you contact your LHS or an on-line shop to assist you in this matter, we do not sell direct sorry.

In general if you need to change the piston/sleeve and crankshaft of an engine it is better to buy a new one.
